PPAP: PRODUCTION PART APPROVAL PROCESS

WHEN: See schedule for dates

8:00 am - 4:00 pm

WHERE: CQC at Rensselaer Hartford

WORKSHOP SYNOPSIS:
In order to conform to all the requirements of QS-9000 it soon becomes apparent that PPAP submittals are of primary importance. Other technical guidance manuals supporting QS-9000
suggest acceptable approaches and are for guidance only. Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submittals are mandatory.

The PPAP manual is important for other reasons.  This collection of design, development, production, inspection, and quality assurance results provides a baseline performance "snapshot" of your product and processes. All future problems, modifications, changes, and enhancements can be evaluated in light of the original, demonstrated, and approved performance. In addition, several "hidden" requirements are buried within the PPAP Manual.

This workshop presents a body of information that results in an understanding of these new requirements. It examines the alternative levels of submittal, the expectations of the OEM, and the details of each PPAP package. It also points out all of the buried requirements.  Exercises and simulations show attendees how to apply the requirements to their individual situation. Each attendee will receive an original copy of the AIAG Production Part Approval Process Manual.
