WORKSHOP SYNOPSIS:

Many companies are faced with the transitioning from ISO 9000:1994 to ISO 9000:2000 or are making that all-important decision to follow the path of continuous improvement by implementing ISO 9001:2000 as a foundation for this initiative. The process of applying the requirements of the Standard can be complicated, demanding and subject to many interpretations.

Careful implementation of the Standard should be considered and planned before commencing the initiative. A body of documentation must be created or revised that complies with the Standard; it must be effectively communicated, implemented and maintained; and internal audits must supply the organization with results of the implemented system so that continuous improvement can be monitored and reinforced.

This four-day workshop is designed to provide guidance that will facilitate this process an d fulfill the promise of a value-added result. It includes a comprehensive review of the requirements of ISO 9001, the required documentation, the project steps that ensure a successful implementation, and a functional audit at a company using ISO 9000. Numerous exercises and simulations throughout the workshop show attendees how to apply this information to their unique situations. Each attendee will receive an authorized reprint of ANSI/ISO/ASQ Q9001:2000.
